Val av spänning och frekvens i den svenska järnvägens kontaktledningar

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Lunds universitet/LTH Ingenjörshögskolan vid Campus Helsingborg

Sammanfattning: For historical reasons, Swedish railways use 15 kV/16? Hz overhead contact lines for train traction, while the most common standard worldwide is 25 kV/50-60 Hz. This leads to higher investment costs for railway conversions and expansions, and to greater energy losses in the distribution of electricity to the trains. Yet to get away from these drawbacks by investing in a 25 kV/50 Hz overhead contact line system, during the transitional period the railways will require rolling stock compatible with both of these voltage systems. This type of rolling stock is only slightly more expensive than the current rolling stock operating on Swedish railways, provided that they are ordered in this form when produced. On the other hand, it is very expensive to retrofit existing rolling stock to accommodate dual voltage. The recommendation is to reconfigure the procurement of new rolling stock as soon as possible to ensure that purchased assets are compatible with both 15 kV/16? Hz and 25 kV/50-60 Hz overhead contact line voltage, and, when making new investments in railway electrification, to invest in 25 kV/50 Hz railway electrification systems to the greatest extent feasible, with regard to the rolling stock in use on the route in question at present. The additional cost incurred by procuring all new rolling stock with a dual-voltage configuration is approximately SEK 30 million per year, while the savings that will be achieved by eliminating investments in substations will be approximately SEK 300 million per year in a few years’ time. The initiative will also reduce energy losses, with potential savings of up to approximately 200 GWh/year, should the entirety of Sweden's rail network be supplied by 25 kV/50 Hz. Keywords: 15 kV/16?
