Socialtjänstens arbete med individersom långvarigt uppbär försörjningsstöd. : En kvalitativ studie kring socialsekreterarens möjligheter och hinder i det sociala arbetet

Sammanfattning: The aim of the study was to examine the possibilities and difficulties for social workers whom work with individuals on long-term economic support. We used a qualitative method and interviewed six social workers from one municipality. We chose to use two theoretical perspectives, Empowerment and KASAM (Feeling of context), when analyzing the results and the study's empire was analyzed using a phenomenological and hermeneutic approach. Our results showed that the interviewees own view, on the work with individuals on long-term economic support, was that it is permeated by high workload, limited scope for action and difficulties in meeting with clients. The interviewees also stated that the organization, laws and guidelines affect the work with clients to a substantial extent and the ability to work out ideas with managers and colleagues is a great support.
