Sammanfattning: What is justice? There is a lot of different views regarding this very question and to make claims what ought to be just, one needs to justify it. This thesis sets out to investigate the bearing of evolutionary theory to justify ought claims within normative method and by doing this try to get closer to a true objective theory of justice. More precisely the thesis investigates if it is possible to use an evolutionary perspective to make ought claims within a consequential logic in normative method using the naturalistic principle. The result of the thesis point toward the possibility to use evolutionary theory to make an objective ought claim regarding justice. An axiological exposé, where the author’s foundation of scientific reality is presented, gives the premises, perhaps needed, to reach the result. The result is also discussed in juxtaposition with Honneth’s Theory of recognition. The result is however not without problems and the critique from the is-ought problem is discussed.
