Sammanfattning: The work presented in this report was based upon two different stages, with the aim of coming up with an improved screening process concerning fire spread within PSA at Ringhals Nuclear Power Plant in Sweden. The first phase consisted of creating a methodology for the screening process, which was based on various screening data, such as CDF, fire loads and openings between compartments. Each spread case (scenario) consisted of two fire compartments. The second phase was a detailed analysis of two scenarios that were selected through the screening process. The analysis was performed using CFAST and FDS as well as hand calculations in one case. Spridningsfall 1 was deemed to not be likely to fire spread, while Spridningsfall 2 was shown to be associated with the possibility of spread in the event of fire in the shaft.
