Sammanfattning: This essay is meant to contribute with a judicial aspect of assaults during LARP, focusing on sexual and violent assault. The purpose of the essay is to investigate how law should be practiced regarding cases that happen during LARPs, since these include special circumstances. As there are no Swedish precedents at this time, the essay compares how the courts have treated cases within sports and BDSM. This essay broaches what judicial problems can occur in connection with LARP. To answer that question the essay discusses consent, tendencies to file reports and the duty to report certain crimes to the police. The conclusion is that LARP should be treated like any other situation in society but that agreements between participants should be regarded, whether they are in the form of participant contracts, rules of the LARP or private agreements. By considering the agreements the court can decide whether the incident was to be tolerated or not, judging case by case. This means that the court ought to acquaint itself with the rules of the LARP and other agreements and judge the situation on that basis.
