Det interaktiva samspelet : En kritisk diskursanalys av påskupploppen

Sammanfattning: During the spring of 2022, there were demonstrations against Paludan's approved gatherings where the demonstrations developed into violent riots. This study is an attempt to examine the dividing line for what constitutes whether a crowd becomes violent or not. A critical discourse analysis has been used to analyze preliminary investigation protocols from four different cities. The discursive interaction between the police and the counter-protesters has been examined in the analysis to understand their conveyed meanings and perceptions of the Easter riots. The discourses that emerge are interactional-, situational- and preventive discourse. In the results, it appears that both the police and the counterdemonstrators categorize each other, but there are attempts to build relationships. It can also be deduced that the actions of the police lead to escalating reactions from the counterdemonstrators. The preparation for the general gatherings has looked different depending on the availability of information and how the riots developed in the cities where they were first carried out.
