Sammanfattning: The current study aimed to evaluate whether CELF-4 is a tool suitable to assess language functions in adolescents between 13:0 and 15:3 years of age. 27 participants took part in the study. The Swedish version of CELF-4 including the Pragmatic Profile was used in the study. A questionnaire was sent to collect information on the participants’ language background. Information regarding socioeconomic factors was obtained through a questionnaire answered by the participants’ caregiver. The results indicate that most of the subtests in CELF-4 are well suited for the current age-group, with a few exceptions where lack of adjustments related to age and culture were seen in some of the subtests. Significant differences were found between bilingual and monolingual participants where the bilingual participants generally tended to score lower on CELF-4. When studying correlations between socioeconomic status and subtest scores, participants associated with lower socioeconomic status scored lower than their peers.
