Sammanfattning: Environmental destruction is a growing problem in our world. Almost every day there are new reports concerning that we have to do something about the greenhouse gasses. Simultaneously is the human constantly more eager to have a life with higher standards and therefore uses more energy. The environment is a question that is highly up-to-date and more people try to find solutions on how to save our planet. One way to decrease the energy demand is to build passive houses, where the houses don’t have any active heating. This leads to a better indoor climate and less environmental impact. In this report a parameter study has been performed to enlighten important details in the formation of passive houses. We have used wood wool slabs, where the wall is solid, highly isolated and easy to work with. Wood wool is a composition of cement and deal wool, which only is natural materials. Today it’s mostly used in roofs as acoustic-insulation, but also as heat-insulation in walls. To reach the solution that demands the lowest energy and effect, different parameters have been compared and evaluated. For example the windows placement in the wall, the direction of the windows, the geographical orientation, indoor temperature as well as the material of the wall has been compared. The calculations have been done both on hand and simulated in DEROB-LTH, a program that counts out the energy and power demand for a house assisted by different climate data. Wood wool walls with the thickness of 600 mm gives a energy demand for heating of 7,7kWh/m2,a. Our construction of the house built in mineral wool gets an energy demand for heating on 8,7kWh/m2,a, which makes that the wood wool wall requires 11,5% less energy than the wall built of mineral wool. Added with the houses domestic hot water demand the energy demand is 28,1 kWh/m2,a. This means that the house total requirement for heating and domestic hot water is far below the demands of a passive house, which is 45-65kWh/m2,a in Sweden. Our house is also reaching the power demands for a passive house with a good margin. It should be mentioned that there is no house yet built by this reports method, and thereby we don’t know if it will work in practice.
