Sammanfattning: Everyone feels worried from time to time, it is a natural reaction to events in life. On the other hand, being worried for long periods of time can affect your health. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the knowledge about children and youths' concerns, by studying high school students' perceived worry about the war in Ukraine. The study also examines a relationship between sex and worry. It is a quantitative study with data collection via web surveys, sent out to high school students in southern Sweden. To answer the questions, an index of worry has been created, which gave the result that high school students show moderate worry over the war in Ukraine. The mean value for worry was just below the median and was centered around the middle of the index. Furthermore, the data indicated a significant relationship between sex and worry where girls expressed a higher level of worry compared to boys. The results are discussed in the light of gender theories and with the help of these can be said to depend on the ideals and roles assigned based on gender. Through these gender roles, there are certain expectations of how to be and act, including that girls can express more feelings of worry and concern than boys can.
