Att skjutsa barn till skolan med bil

Detta är en Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå från Lunds universitet/Trafik och väg

Sammanfattning: This study focuses on the problem with parents driving their children to and from school by car. The environments outside the schools are usually not designed for this traffic. A school in Lund is used as a case study. The purpose of the study is to find out why parents choose to drive their children to school by car, what measures are appropriate to implement, how the process looks like when trying to improve the traffic situation and who the involved stakeholders are. The result shows that parents drive their children because of the belief that the distance between home and school is too far, the child is not old enough to handle the traffic and that it is considered practical to drive. Many of these families lived at a distance of less than 5 km from the school. Several measures were proposed based on the four-stage principle. The study showed that one of the problems with solutions is that many stakeholders with different interests are involved in the process of improving the traffic situation outside a school.
