Missbrukets familjeansikten: en C-uppsats om anhöriga till missbrukare sett ur ett kvinnligt perspektiv

Sammanfattning: Our purpose with this essay was to, on basis of the life story of a woman who lived with a drug addict, explore how the life situation in the family turns out. We therefore interviewed professionals with theoretical base in the solution focused treatment, the Minnesota program, the psychodynamic theory and the theory of systems, We also took a closer look at current research within the area. Following questions were used: § Are there any typical structures and patterns within the family of a drug addict. In that case, how are they described? § How are the emotional and psychic processes described, within the family? § What possibilities and obstacles are seen concerning the relatives life situation? This essay is a qualitative case study, based on interviews, a life story and literature of different varies. Our conclusion was that the theoretical as well as the empirical material had both similarities and differences in their opinions concerning this issue. They all agreed that the family structure often involves typical and dysfunctional patterns. But concerning how this effects the life situation, the well being of the relatives and how this problem should be dealt with, are the opinions rather varying.
