Sammanfattning: This report encompasses the rescue service's problems with traffic accidents involving gas vehicles. Rescue staff today have insufficient knowledge of how to act when working at an accident involving gas vehicles. It will also be explained how the construction of gas vehicles create great uncertainty among firefighters. The question is, how can a safe workplace for firefighters be created?   The report describes three different accidents with varied results. During the accident, "Fire in a gas bus", several safety actions are taken when using a fire truck with a tanker and water cannon. This means that no rescue personnel will be exposed to vehicle fire that could create an explosion. The case "Fire and explosion in gas bus" accident, they instead choose to send rescue personnel who by hand initiate extinguishing in the tank compartment, which contributes to a later explosion and personal injury.   A guideline with advice and tips on how rescue personnel can handle these types of accidents is presented in simple form to suit operational and educational purposes. It is not only in case of acute accidents. Several cases have been discovered where rust and shock damage has affected the characteristics of the tank so much that it explodes when being refueled.   Information from Myndigheten för samhällsskydd och beredskap (MSB), Tranås rescue service and accident reports are sources of the entire work, which makes it an analysis of the historical development of gas vehicles and its problems. The problem is not solved with this report, it shows the problem from the rescue service perspective and how small changes can contribute to great progress. For this reason, the outcome of the work is something that can contribute to the emergency service's work in the event of accidents, as well as authorities and car manufacturers must come up with security solutions for the new and more advanced cars.
