At skabe en ny billedtradition: feministisk interviewundersøgelse af fire tegneserieskaberes subversive praksis

Sammanfattning: This paper investigates the political agency of comics creators with connection to Seriestaden Malmø in Sweden. Through analysis of interviews, it aims to produce a more nuanced understanding of how comics creators and graphic novelists use the media to communicate stories of intersectional complexity from lived experiences. It draws on critical feminist and anti- racist theory to understand the connection between autobiographical representations and the artist’s aim to draw attention to the oppression structures which in many ways influence their lives. This paper holds the argument that comics can be seen as a discursive act of resistance, and seek to understand the artists view on the media as a political tool.
