Sammanfattning: The purpose of this study was to collect Swedish norm data for the comprehension scale of the Reynell Developmental Language Scales III for multilingual children aged 2:6-3:5 years old. The norm data was collected from 40 multilingual children divided into two age groups; 2:6-2:11 and 3:0-3:5 years old. The children were recruited from preschools in Gothenburg.The preschools were located in areas with different socioeconomic profiles. The results showed that the multilingual children scored at a lower level compared to previous Swedish norm data collected for monolingual Swedishspeaking children. There was no significant difference in results between the two age groups. Children from the most socioeconomicallydisadvantaged area scored significantly lower than children from the more socioeconomically advantaged areas. The girls scored higher than the boys but the difference was not significant. The norm data can be used when assessing language comprehension in younger multilingual children.
