Varför saknas Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) i den svenska politiken - några möjliga förklaringar

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Statsvetenskapliga institutionen

Sammanfattning: The aim of this essay is to describe what the Swedish government has done to encourage and promote different actors to work with the CSR question on the national level. I found that the government has had an international focus handling the CSR questions, mostly on developing countries. Several reasons can explain this result. First the structure of the Swedish community with a strong government as the provider of the social services does not encourage other actors to participate. Second strong actors on the labour market with partially counteracting agendas may have contributed to the result. The structure of the industry and the fact that there is not a clear definition of CSR can also serve as an explanation. Finally the fact that Sweden has not gone through a huge economic or labour market crisis, may add to the explanation. To elucidate the essay new institutionalism is the theory that has been used in explaining my findings regarding the institutions that have affected the development. In the end I have an analysis which is based on the theory in explaining the factors, and at last I conclude with thoughts for the future.
