Sammanfattning: This thesis aims to provide a deeper understanding of the collaboration process between different authorities and organizations. The empirical example that the study is based on, is violence prevention work that aims to reduce men's violence against women. Of interest is where the focus is in the collaboration process, what function the collaboration process fulfills and what it results will be. The study uses concepts such as collaboration, collaboration theory, and system maintenance- and system changing gender equality work to answer the research questions. To answer the questions, I have interviewed three people from different authorities and organizations. Results show that the informants describe that collaboration is necessary as they are mutually dependent on each other in order to achieve their goals, according to the informants answers they largely agree with how collaboration works in theory versus practice described in collaboration theory and lastly the study conclude that the collaboration process largely results in a system-changing gender equality work.
