"Även solen har sina fläckar" : Ensamhet hos svenska spanienpensionärer på solkusten – en kvalitativ studie

Sammanfattning: The phenomenon of Swedish retirement choosing to emigrate abroad is increasing. Spain is a popular destination, partly for the climate, but also for the Cheaper living standards. Moving abroad in old age does not just have to mean happiness. Social problems can arise, among other things, the feeling of loneliness is something that affects most of us at some point during the stage of life. What will happen to the Swedish retirements who emigrate to Spain? How do they relate to the feeling of loneliness when they are in another country and is there anything that can alleviate or help.  The Church of Sweden is located on the Costa del Sol and performs diaconal, social work. They are available to Swedish citizens who are in need of support and help for various reasons. This essay will focus on how Swedish Spanish retirement experience their social life in Fuengirola, Spain and how they relate to their feelings of loneliness.
