“Tidstypiskt fluff” en kritisk diskursanalys av den mediala debatten gällande Jämställdhetsmyndigheten

Sammanfattning: The aim of the thesis is to contribute to an increased understanding on how the expression of the so-called anti-gender movement is articulated in the media debate concerning The Swedish Gender Equality Agency. The aim is also to understand how the criticism directed at the Swedish Equality Authority in Sweden is placed in a larger contemporary context of antigender mobilizations. This will be done by analyzing problem representations that have been found in the empirical material. The analyze is based on Carol Lee Bacchi’s critical discourse analysis What’s the problem represented to be? Four of Bacchis six questions have been applied on the empirical material. The result shows that criticism directed at feminism, in a Swedish context, resembles the criticism directed at feminism in a European context. Only one difference was identified. Because of the Swedish secular society, no criticism based on religious was identified.
