COVID-19 PANDEMIN OCH ÄTSTÖRNINGAR: EN KVALITATIV STUDIE OM RELATIONEN MELLAN COVID-19 PANDEMIN OCH ÄTSTÖRNINGAR UTIFRÅN TVÅ MILJÖER, AKTUELL FORSKNING OCH DEN SVENSKA RIKSFÖRENINGEN MOT ÄTSTÖRNINGAR; FRISK & FRI
Sammanfattning: The purpose of this thesis is to examine the perspective of the relationship and reasoning between the Covid-19 pandemic and eating disorders, which will be done based on two environments, current research and the Swedish National Association against Eating Disorders; Frisk & Fri. By using semi-structured interviews, this qualitative study can compare the responses with current research and see any similarities and differences around which effects the pandemic has generated. The results show how the pandemic and covid-19 affected individuals with eating disorders in a number of different ways, where disease symptoms worsened, an increased emotional burden, more difficult access to treatment, as well as an increase in more people suffering from eating disorders.
