Sammanfattning: Abstract The purpose with the study is to contribute knowledge of teacher’s thoughts of, and actions in potentially stress filled situations at preschool. The methods I’ve been using are qualitative interviews and unstructured observations of hallway situation at dressing and the transit between lunch and rest.At the interviews with the teachers it showed that none of them feels stressed but there are stress filled situations. The lunch and transit between lunch and rest is a stressful situation, where there is a lot to do, like the dishes, the teachers break and the lie-down. That moment is time-limited. The hallway situation at the time of dressing is also a stressful situation. All the children comes out in the hallway at the same time and the teachers need to help the children get dressed, change diapers on the smaller children and make sure that the older ones use the bathroom before they go outside. At wintertime there is automatically more to do due to the amount of clothes that needs to be put on.The increasing size of children in the groups is not anything the teachers can control, but the premises has to be adapted to be able to receive as many children as the county want them to have. One of the three teachers thinks that the group of children was too big. She wants to spend more qualitative time with each individual child. In that case another teacher will not help but there need to be fewer children for the area of the room. The teachers are not stressed but there are situations that are stressful.
