Sammanfattning: The focus of this study is on preschool teachers’ perception about holidays in the Swedish preschool.  The purpose of this study is to, based on preschool teachers’ perceptions, gain insight on how cultural holidays are recognized and presented in preschool in conjunction with Skolverkets (2018) goals of transferring and developing a cultural heritage, as well as gaining insight into who they think these holidays are presented for according to preschool teachers. The study is based on a phenomenographic method approach to be able to answer the purpose.  A questionnaire survey aimed to preschool teachers is being used in the study. Around the time when the survey was out 19 answers came in and has been analyzed through a content analysis based on phenomenographic.  The result from the survey shows that many preschool teachers have the perception that they feel insecure to give holidays attention in preschool and through the quest about transfer and develop a cultural heritage. The result is also showing that preschool teachers are feeling it hard to separate religion from holidays because so many holidays have a religious background. At the same time the result also shows that the holidays that gets the most attention in preschool is Christmas and Easter which both are religious holidays.
