Sammanfattning: The purpose of this essay is to investigate preschool educators' views on digitalization at work. We have investigated preschool educators' views on digitalization and how the educators digital competence affects the use of digital tools. We also want to find out what preschool educator´s consider is a digital tool and how the digitization process is expressed. The essay's questions are the following: What are preschool educators' views on digitization, what is included in the concept of digital tools according to preschool educators, how preschool educators work with digital tools and what preschool educators consider are opportunities and obstacles with digitization in preschool. The essay has a qualitative analysis and is based on educators´ stories from interviews that we analyze from two theoretical perspectives. The two theoretical perspectives we start from are the sociocultural perspective with concepts such artifacts and mediations and phenomenology perspective. We can see the results that show that educators believe that they have too little digital competence due to the constant digital development that takes place in our culture. The educators have a view that digitization means taking the help of digital tools in everyday life. We also see that the Ipad is the digital tool that educators use most in the activities together with the children.
