Sammanfattning: The crises of the 1930s and of 2008 are clear evidence of the fragility of the Fractional Reserve Banking System. Both of these events resulted in a liquidity crisis that sent the afflicted economies spiralling into deep recession. Security measures and regulations have been enacted to hinder the contagious effects of a systemic run. Unfortunately these have proven to be inadequate. Prominent economists have wrestled with possible solutions in order to obtain long-term stability. We hereby present a mere few of these theories; Ones that we think are plausible and should be taken into serious consideration by the controlling powers of society.
