"...en regnbågsbrokig grupp." En studie om riksdagspolitikers komplicerade förhållningssätt till hbt som grupp
Sammanfattning: In this study we examine how Swedish members of Parliament view social groups and their role in changing oppressive norms in a political context. We focus on LGBT issues and the intersection between sexuality and gender/sex. Therefore, we have interviewed nine MP:s who either identify themselves as LGBT and/or work with LGBT issues. All informants’ emphasis the importance of viewing social groups as heterogeneous and constantly changing. However, they also stress that one needs to talk about social groups in order to perceive and understand relations of power imbedded within our society. We link this ambivalence to theoretical feminist debate between feminist standpoint theories and poststructuralist/postmodern feminist theories on the issue of “Woman” as subject for a political movement. Our conclusion is that while we in a political context must talk about social groups we must also be aware that creating and using social groups must inevitably mean the inclusion of some and exclusion of others.
