"Nej tack,mina lampor får vara dumma ett tag till.” : En kvalitativ studie om användarnas attityd till Internet of Things

Sammanfattning: The Internet of Things is predicted to become a major world phenomenon. However, the growth reports that have been presented so far seem to tell a story that is not always consistent with reality. In this essay, users' discussion regarding attitudes towards and opinions about the phenomenon has been observed through various online forums. The discussion section pre- sents a summary of the results and analysis, which shows this study’s participants' willingness to adopt the IoT technology and it’s contributing factors. Ten different forums have been studied with the result that IoT as a phenomenon fails to meet today’s users needs. Although, participants believe that the IoT technology will advance and that it has the potential to be- come a bigger part of society and everyday life granted that it is developed properly. In total, 191 comments from 124 different participants in 10 different forums were collected and analyzed. The comments go back to August 2018.
