Automatisering av vaxflöde till bivaxdukar
Sammanfattning: An automatic solution for a manual manufacturing operation can provide increased production with moreconsistent quality and a higher resource utilization. An operation that manually applies wax on cloth, which results in uneven quality, a lot of waste and the production speed is not optimal. The operation also requires that an operator must be on site throughout the time. The purpose of this study is to identifybottlenecks in production and design an automated concept to increase production speed, reduce waste and achieve a more even quality. The topics in the study are mainly linked to value flow analysis, bringing forward the customer needs and concept generation. The theoretical areas that are addressed are connected and form the basis for beingable to support the development of the concept and to be able to help identify current shortcomings and weaknesses. The study’s approach is based on qualitative methods, observations on the current production line, interviews with staff and a literature study were the basis for the report. A value flow analysis identified that the operation that puts beeswax on cloths was the longest operation. Through interviews and observations, the customer need was determined, which was then translated into product requirement. The results of the study show a concept proposal for a semiautomated solution to the operation that puts beeswax on cloths. The design proposal produced is based on the literature study. The design proposal provides good conditions for a higher production speed and a more even quality on the product, as well as reducing the waste of wax and heat for the operation that puts beeswax on cloths.
