Sammanfattning: Global warming is a fact and everything indicates that the warming will continue in the next decades and affect the climate for hundreds of years to come. The climate risks that threaten the Earth globally are flooding, earthquakes, warmer climate, stronger winds, and increased risk for landslides. The climate changes will also affect Helsingborg and therefore the city needs to increase its ability to handle current and future climate changes. The purpose of the report has been to investigate relevant risks for Helsingborg, how buildings are affected by the risks and what measures that can be taken to adapt buildings. The purpose has also been to thoroughly investigate one of Wihlborgs existing buildings (Hästhagen 7) in Helsingborg. Through interviews and literature search, a checklist have been developed with suggestions of what to do to prepare a building against climate change. The checklist has been applied to Hästhagen 7, which resulted in a number of suggested measures for the building. It is mainly Lussebäcken that constitutes the greatest risk for the building. The other risks are considered to only occur during extreme weather in the next 50-100 years. The operation manager of the building has to decide what measures that are finally taken. Regardless of whether the manager choose climate adaptation or not, it is important to be aware of the risks, the capacity of the building and what the consequences are if no measures are taken. It is also important to remember that climate change, in all likelihood, is due to human activity. It is not enough to build better and stronger houses and to adapt the existing buildings, to solve the problems. There is also a need for increased consciousness and people have to change their behavior in order to address the root cause of the problem.
