En förordning i förändring : En analys av förutsättningarna för att implementera en förändrad Dublinförordning

Sammanfattning: This thesis aims to analyse and discuss the prospects for an implementation of the European Commissions’ suggested reformations to the Dublin Regulation, based on the models of flexible integration: multi-speed, concentric circles and à la carte integration. To achieve this six different potential scenarios are constructed with regards to several premises, an example of which are the actual implications of the proposed reformations, the goals regarding integration expressed by the Commission, the political climate within the EU and the models of flexible integration. The findings suggest that each individual scenario offers both opportunities and complications with regards to either implementation or integration of the proposed reformation. However, depending on what side between what’s pragmatic or what’s ideal you’re given a hint towards which of the scenarios is to be considered more likely to succeed. A few decisions have been made regarding narrowing the scale and scope of the thesis. A closing discussion containing final thoughts and ideas for future research in the subject area is provided at the end.
