Sammanfattning: This bachelor thesis was conducted on a company that for various reasons has chosen to be anonymous. The company works internationally and specializes in industrial machinery within the food industry. Today, maintenance on the machines are performed based on scheduled periods of time, based on the expected remaining useful life. Because of this, failure may occur before these planned services are made and as a result, a longer and more thorough maintenance might be required. As a result this study investigates the possibilities of implementing a condition monitoring system on their products. The result of this bachelor thesis is a preliminary study of how a condition monitoring system can be implemented and which approaches are most appropriate to investigate. To achieve this, the most important thing is to try to identify parameters with different types of methods like vibration analysis or tribology that can directly be connected to the health and degradation of a component. With these parameters, you can schedule the maintenance to maximize operating time and minimize maintenance periods. In this study, various measurements have been made to try to identify these parameters. However, in order to create a complete system, longer measurements are required to prove the results and statements presented in this report.
