Sammanfattning: This study investigates whether the free trade agreement between the European Union and Peru/Colombia is associated with trade creation effects and trade diversion effects. The study finds significant overall trade creation effects and trade diversion effects for the agreement. The trade agreement has resulted in trade creation effects for Peru; however, any trade diversion effects cannot be significantly ensured when studying Peru’s individual specific trade effects. Any trade creation or trade diversion effects cannot be ensured when looking at the individual impact of the trade agreement on Colombia. The study finds trade creation and trade diversion effects concerning EU. The trade creation effect concerning Peru is bigger than the trade creation effect concerning EU.
