Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Socialhögskolan

Sammanfattning: The aim of this study is to investigate professionals’ perception of the project Sluta skjut in Malmö, Sweden. This will be done by examining the outcomes of the project, which are identified by the professionals along with their perception of the implementation of the Group Violence Intervention strategy (GVI). The chosen method is qualitative semi-structured interviews with 10 workers from various professions who are involved in the project. Police officers, social workers, probation officers, politicians, prosecutors, church representatives, and representatives from non-profit organizations are all part of this study. The empirical material was analyzed using implementation theory and previous research. The material generated several different views on the project. The main results of the study involve different professional views on the implementation of the GVI strategy. We could identify that the view differed among the professions, some were more positive to the implementation of the strategy whilst others were more skeptical. The outcomes identified by the professionals depict a decline in shootings in Malmö, a successful collaboration between the involved institutions and that a part of the target group may feel harassed by the interventions.
