Anpassa mer, en bättre introduktion för fler - En analys av medarbetares uppfattning av- och ansvarigas arbete med en onboardingprocess

Sammanfattning: The purpose of this study is to, in chosen organization, describe and analyze the onboarding process based on how the people in charge work with and newcomers' perception of the onboarding process as well as to present proposals for possible development opportunities. To answer the purpose, the study used a qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews as the main method of gathering information. A total of 9 interviews were conducted. The results of the study showed that the overall perception of the onboarding process was positive, however it was insufficient in some areas. For example the onboarding process lacks in providing the newcomers with an understanding of their role in the company. The results also show a lack of structure within the organization's buddy-system and there’s also room for improvement when it comes to the timeframe of the onboarding process. We suggest 6 proposals for developing the onboarding process, one thing we suggest is that the organization in question needs to adjust and clarify the timeframe and guidelines of both the buddy system and the onboarding processes in general. We believe that an implementation of our proposals would help the organization to create an even better onboarding process.
