Omvårdnadsåtgärder vid trycksår hos äldre personer : En litteraturöversikt

Sammanfattning: Background: Pressure ulcers occur because an area of the body is being overloaded. It is divided into different degrees and often develops with other medical conditions. Previous research indicates that it can negatively affect patient’s independence and self-confidence. It is stressful for the caregiver and a suffering can emerge within the care. Aim: The aim was to create an overview of nursing measures for pressure ulcers in elderly people in health care. Methods: A common literature review where eleven qualitative, quantitative and mixed articles were analyzed. Results: In the theme of pressure relief measures, it turned out that static air mattresses, changing position and skin inspecting were characteristic nursing measures. In the theme of self-care measures, it emerged that through special measures, patients’ selfcare capacity could be strengthened. The theme of nurse’s prior knowledge and treatment measures addresses the importance of prior knowledge as it can make questionnaires more efficient. The theme of teamwork’s impact on measures showed how the work environment can contribute to measures in different ways and the importance of good communication is emphasized. Conclusion: Individualized pressure relief nursing measures and a goal-oriented staff is considered paramount.
