Sammanfattning: This report is part of the educational programme of Fire Protection Engineering at the Department of Fire Safety Engineering at Lund University. The following report is a fire safety evaluation of Falkhallen with purpose of evaluating personal safety considering evacuation in case of fire. Falkhallen is an arena which hosts school activities and a variety of events. A number of worst likely fire scenarios are selected for further analysis. Simulex is used to calculate the time for evacuation of the selected scenarios. The scenarios are calculated both by hand and by CFAST and FDS to determine if critical conditions occur within the time of evacuation. The conclusion is that the fire protection in Falkhallen is very good considering the evacuation. A few small improvements and a further investigation of steel beams are recommended for an increase of the fire protection regarding the personal safety.
