Sammanfattning: In September 2019, the Center Party held its party meeting and during that meeting the party went against the party leadership regarding motion 3.28 concerning male circumcision. From now on, the Center Party´s new direction regarding the issue of male circumcision would be that it would be banned unless the procedure was done for medical reasons. This controversial decision was met with mixed reactions. The White Power movement with the Nordic Resistance Movement in the front welcomed the decision, while the Jewish Central Council reacted with fear and saw it as a violation of their religious right. This essay examines whether the arguments presented during the debate on circumcision had an anti-Semitic character. The thesis will be conducted with a qualitative case study in which an argumentation and discourse analysis is carried out. In order to then interpret the material, the essay has chosen to use a theory that comes from Professor Wolfgang Benz, which assumes all forms of discrimination against the Jewish population should be considered anti-Semitism.
