Föreställningar om heroin : En analys av socionomers konstruktioner av bruk och behandling
Sammanfattning: The aim of this study was to depict and analyse how social workers in Swedish methadone maintenance and outpatient care construct clients and their problems in order to legitimize specific help interventions. The study was conducted in eight different clinics, and the empirical material comprises interviews with eight social workers. From a linguistic, etnomethodological and semiotic philosophy a micro-approach has been applied on the data. Potter and Wetherell’s perspectives about interpretative repertoires was the theoretical point of departure. The interviews were analysed with special attention to explanations that legitimizes specific treatment methods. The main findings were that the legitimacy of the different treatments were complex: they were made both in relation to other methods of treatment, but also in relation to societal requirements – a complexity which greatly influenced the construction of the clients, their problems and the solution.
