Socialkonstruktivism i samhällskunskapen : Samhällskunskapslärares syn på och användande av socialkonstruktivism som kunskapsteori

Sammanfattning: The purpose of this study is to disseminate knowledge about how teachers in social studies education resolve the tension between equality in teaching and individualization of teaching in a social constructivist spirit. As well as seeing what obstacles teachers experience in order to implement the best possible teaching. This will be done by answering the following questions; To what extent will a social-constructivist approach to teaching and learning be expressed in teachers' speech on the topic of social science? and What barriers do teachers perceive that there is to working towards a social constructivist approach in social studies? These questions are answered through interviews with three teachers in social studies. The teachers express an willingness to work with social construction theory but due to structural obstacles they all choose to prioritize equality in their teaching over individualization of teaching. They do this by choosing written exams over any other form of exam.
