Komplext semantiskt verbalt ordflöde hos elever i årskurs 3 och årskurs 6
Sammanfattning: The aim of this study was to explore the use of a new assessmenttool in verbal word fluency (Complex Semantic Verbal Fluency; COSEF) onSwedish pupils in 3th (9 years old) and 6th grade (12 years old) (n = 49). Inorder to examine the construct validity of the new assessment tool, a comparisonwas made with three other well-known word fluency tests; FAS, animaland action verb. The results showed that COSEF was difficult for pupilsin 3th and 6th grade, since both age groups had significant higher number ofinadequate responses in COSEF than in the other tests. The correlation betweenadequate responses for pupils in 6th grade indicate that those who performedwell in the established tests also performed well in COSEF, thoughthe results varied for pupils in 3th grade. Further research is warranted, andmajor suggestions to improve and further adapt COSEF for children are discussed.
