Sammanfattning: This paper aims to shed light on whether the newly received government bill "Better criminal tools against organized crime" (prop. 2015/16: 113) can counteract criminal groupings in Sweden. We have done a case study in which we intented to apply the goverment bill prop. 2015/16: 113 on a specific criminal grouping in Malmo. Through this we have studied how this bill according to previous research, could counteract this type of criminal grouping in practice, in the city of Malmo. Our case study have been conducted through qualitative interviews and text analysis through which we have processed our collected data. This study has been given a theoretical basis by Thomas Mathiesen theories of political power relations. The new government bill is according to our findings not to be considered sufficient to more effectively counteract the new generation of criminal groupings in Malmo.
