La conexión con las plantas - kontakten med växterna

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Socialantropologi

Sammanfattning: The study investigates the design of kené, a geometrical pattern originated in the culture of Shipibo, in relation to Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattaris’ philosophical term rhizome. Kené is, besides the nowadays more influential part of the Shipibo material culture of handicraft, historically connected to healing practices which includes the hallucinogenic brew ayahuasca. The thesis is an autoethnography, which incorporates the author and the process of crafting the thesis as a part of the study’s result. The material is based on field studies which took place on different settings in the peruvian Amazone in September to November of 2019. The thesis aims to broader the understanding of the practices surrounding kené through presenting them in a rhizomatic perspective.
