Digitalisering som pedagogiskt redskap : En kvalitativ studie om hur digitaliseringen kan användas som pedagogiskt redskap för att främja elevernas inlärning i skolarbetet

Sammanfattning: Our entire society is going through a digital development that never takes a break and the school is required to educate digitally competent citizens. To meet these challenges, it is necessary that the school succeeds in implementing the digital tools and that the teachers use the digital tools correctly. The purpose of the study is to investigate which digital tools that teachers and IT-educators who are familiar with in digitalization use to promote the students' learning in school work. The study is based on the following questions: What digital tools do teachers use and how do they describe how they use them in their educational work? And: How do teachers describe that the digital tools motivate students to learn? As a theoretical starting point, a socio-cultural perspective has been used. The study is qualitative and nine semi-structured interviews have been conducted. A qualitative content analysis with inductive approach was used as a method for analysis. The empirics were categorized into four parts, that describe which digital tools teachers in year 1-6 and year 6-9 use in their pedagogical work, how they use them and how they think these motivate the pupils to learn. The result shows that there are some differences in what digital tools they use and how they use them in the different ages. In grades 1-6, the tools are used primarily for a didactic purpose, to capture and motivate the students. In grades 6-9, the tools are used primarily for writing and communicative purposes. All teachers also use them to increase equivalence. You can see that the teachers in the different ages have much to learn from each other in the continued digital development.
