1. Computational Fluid Dynamics of the flow in a diffuser : - like geometry
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för teknikvetenskap (SCI)Sammanfattning : Simulations were performed to investigate flow separation of an asymmetricdiffuser - like geometry. The geometry used for the simulations was modeledafter an experimental setup with recorded flow data, which was compared tothe simulated data. For all simulations, steady state flow at the inlet was usedwith the assumption of a 2D flow. LÄS MER
2. Rocket Jet Impinging on a Surface
Master-uppsats, KTH/Teknisk mekanikSammanfattning : With the continuous growth of the space industry and the introduction of reusable rockets, the number of rocket launches is expected to increase significantly in the following years. During rocket launching, the engine exhaust impinges on the launch structure producing a complex flow field. LÄS MER
3. Design of compact automotive heat exchanger, analysing the effects of RANS models and utilising Additive Manufacturing
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : The analytical modelling of complex turbulent airflow remains one of the great unsolved mysteries of physics, but in this paper two widely used Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes models (k-$\epsilon$ and k-$\omega$ SST) are compared while designing a heat exchanger for the KTH Formula Student electric race car. CAD software was used to design lattices for the heat exchanger core and theorise about how to increase heat transfer while also taking into account the utilisation of metal additive manufacturing. 4. Study of a vertical slot fish ladder : Evaluation of flow dynamics through a standardized bypass and the effect of predesigned roughness elements
Magister-uppsats, Högskolan i Gävle/Avdelningen för byggnadsteknik, energisystem och miljövetenskapSammanfattning : Migrating freshwater fish population has been significantly declined, mostly by the obstruction of their migratory routes by hydropower dams. To diminish such impacts, fish ladders have been developed to facilitate the passage of migrating fish. LÄS MER
5. Interscale transport of Reynolds stresses in wall-bounded flows
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för teknikvetenskap (SCI)Sammanfattning : Couette, pipe, channel, and zero-pressure gradient (ZPG) turbulent boundary layer (TBL) flows have classically been considered as canonical wall-bounded turbulent flows since their near-wall behavior is generally considered to be universal, i.e. invariant of the flow case and the Reynolds number.
