Tillgänglighet i femtiotalshus : En fallstudie i tillgänglighetsbrister med åtgärdsförslag

Sammanfattning: This is a report about accessibility. For this project the accessibility of a building in the city of Halmstad was evaluated. It´s a three storey building with five apartments on each floor divided by two stairwells. These five apartments have since been divided into three different types of apartments. Each type of apartment has been assessed separately. The building is from the fifties. To learn more about buildings from the nineteen fifties, a literature study has been done. The goal is to find out what is lacking when it comes to accessibility and how this can be improved. A literature study has been made about the needs of people with impaired mobility, sight and sense of direction. Terms of BBR were examined. The investigation shows that there are several shortcomings in the accessibility for all apartments. The shortcomings that in particular need to be addressed are the washrooms, kitchens and doors inside the apartments. Shortcomings in accessibility consist of the missing of elevators and the entrance is not handicap accessible. This report proposes solutions to these deficiencies in the apartments, stairwells and entrance. Since this building has no elevator and it is a necessity, three different examples that enable the installation of an elevator have been developed. Proposals for action at the entrance have been made. A measure proposed for each type of apartment has been developed.
