Organisering som mode. En fallstudie av ett startup-företag som tillämpar självorganisering

Sammanfattning: The global climate of both competition and environment intensifies as time goes. How do new organizations compete with already existing global companies? One way is to listen to the increasing demands from stakeholders that organizations raise their awareness concerning new forms of organization. Research suggests the organizations often listen to their stakeholders and apply new organizational fashions to stay up to date with what is considered modern in the organizational world. The purpose of this study is to examine what autonomy looks like in a real life case but also what drives organizations to apply organizational fashions like autonomy and what consequences it might have. One organizational fashion that is looked into to in this thesis help understand autonomy in a better way is the Teal paradigm where autonomy plays a big part. The authors of this thesis conducted interviews with three employees from different sectors in a company to broaden the spectrum of answers revolving around the firm’s organisation. The name of the Gothenburg located company, where the authors conducted a qualitative research, is TRINE. We found that the studied organization’s way of organizing correlated on a lot of levels with the theories used. We high levels of autonomy within the company but also some forms of power structures, even though the respondents said that there practically were none.
