Sammanfattning: Stray light suppression using a method inspired by lock-in amplification, called periodic shadowing, is examined and demonstrated for a measurement involving a streak camera. The experiment consists of resolving the fluorescent decay of the dye Rhodamine B (RhB) and examining both the rise and the decay of the fluorescence. A simple mono exponential model is fitted to determine the lifetime of the decay in the temperature range 20°C - 74°C. These novel results show that periodic shadowing is easy to implement in streak camera measurements and it significantly improves measurement data.
