  1. 1. Influence of pulsing on PVD TiAlN coating microstructure and mechanical properties : Master thesis project on the impact of deposition parameters on performance and properties of PVD titanium aluminum nitride.

    Master-uppsats, Karlstads universitet

    Författare :Marcus Roseen; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the influence of pulsing on the mechanical properties of PVD TiAlN coatings. The thesis focuses on defects caused by droplets during the arc-evaporation technique by altering the duty time, which affects mechanical properties. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Formability Evaluation

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Industriell Produktion

    Författare :Charles Ower; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : This project investigates the possibility of using material thickness measurements of pressed stainless steel (316L) and titanium (grade 1) sheet metal to evaluate material formabil- ity. The ultimate goal of this project is to replace the current subjective visual material formability evaluation with an objective method. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Reprocessing and Characterization of Polybenzimidazole for High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för analys och syntes

    Författare :Douglas Björkengren; [2023]
    Nyckelord :polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells; PEMFC; HTPEMFC; polymer technology; polymer characterization; reprocessing; recycling; polybenzimidazole; PBI; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : A reprocessing method of poly(2,2’-(m-phenylene)-5,5’-bibenzimidazole) (PBI) membranes recovered from the production line of High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (HT-PEMFC) at Blue World Technologies (BWT) has been developed in order to reduce material loss in the production. Redissolution of scrap PBI membranes in poly(phosphoric acid) (PPA) and phosphoric acid (PA) was successful and the subsequent washing procedure produced PBI that could be redissolved in N,N-dimethyl acetamide (DMAc) and suitable for solution casting of new membranes. 4. 4. Investigation of charge injection at electrode-dielectric interface relevant for HVDC cables : Simulation of charge injection and transport dynamics in electrical insulation for HVDC cables

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad mekanik

    Författare :Mohammed Mosa; [2023]
    Nyckelord :BCT model; charge injection; space charge density; electric field distribution; Fowler-Nordheim; Richardson-Schottky;

    Sammanfattning : A bipolar charge transport (BCT) model is used to simulate charge injection and transportdynamics inside insulation material which are used in a high voltage direct current (HVDC)cable. Gaining knowledge about space charge density and electric field distribution in theinsulation material enables minimising charge injection at the metal-insulator interface andavoiding unnecessary energy loss. 5. 5. The processing of a 3d-printed biocomposite : A material driven study conducted in collaboration with Stora Enso

    Kandidat-uppsats, Malmö universitet/Institutionen för konst, kultur och kommunikation (K3)

    Författare :Jacob Zettersten; [2023]
    Nyckelord :3d; biocomposite; FDM; additive manufacturing; processing;

    Sammanfattning : This is a material driven study that explores how post-processing of a 3D-printed biocomposite may increase its utility in the public furniture industry. The study thereby aims to contribute insights in material development and inspire a shift in practices that pushes the industry towards a more sustainable design process. LÄS MER
