"Vill du ha kvittot?" - En studie om konsumenters kvittohantering och deras inställning till digitala kvitton

Sammanfattning: "Would you like the receipt?" is one of the most common questions related to purchases. A piece of paper stating that you are now the new owner of a product. Resulting in 1,5 billions of paper receipts being printed yearly in Sweden. International companies e.g. Apple have started offering a digital version instead. However, systems supporting digital receipts have not yet been implemented on the Swedish market. Thus the aim of this paper is to ascertain whether there is an interest among consumers for receiving digital receipts instead of the paper version. Also, by considering different background variables e.g. attitudes to explain why consumers have an intention to do so. Moreover, this paper aims to explore and create an understanding of how Swedish consumers are handling their paper receipts. By using a quantitative research method results indicating consumers handling their receipts differently depending on the shopping situation were concluded. Furthermore, there is an interest for receiving digital receipts. An interest influenced by attitudes as well as subjective norms.
