1. Visualization and analysis of object states using diffusion models and PyTorch
Kandidat-uppsats, Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för innovation, design och teknikSammanfattning : Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an extremely rapidly growing field in modern technology. As the applications of AI expand, the ability to accurately analyze and predict the condition of various objects through various models has profound implications across numerous industries. LÄS MER
2. IDENTIFICATION OF ENVIRONMENTALLY RELEVANT BENTHIC FORAMINIFERA FROM THE SKAGERRAK FJORDS BY DEEP LEARNING IMAGE MODELING
Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / Institutionen för biologi och miljövetenskapSammanfattning : Over the several past decades, there has been increasing interest in using foraminifera as environmental indicators for coastal marine environments. As compared to macrofauna, which are currently used in environmental studies, foraminifera offer several distinct advantages as bioindicators, including short generation times, a high number of individuals per small sample volume, hard and durable tests with high preservation potential, and low cost of sample extraction. 3. Procedural generation and weathering of building facades : Replicating shape and distribution of wear-and-tear on real-world building facades
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : Manual modeling of building facades can be a cumbersome process. Instead, procedurally modeling building facades is a practical and quick way to achieve impressive visual results. This paper presents a method for prototyping 2D facades existing in a 3d environment, with the inclusion of shading-based procedural wear-and-tear. LÄS MER
4. Identifying and Applying Hand-painted Features Onto Procedurally Generated Textures
Kandidat-uppsats, Blekinge Tekniska HögskolaSammanfattning : Background. Procedural content generation (PCG) is a powerful tool used in manydifferent areas within game development. One of these areas are texturing where procedural generation have several advantages, including increased effectiveness, reducedstorage cost and unlimited texture resolution. LÄS MER
5. Multiple-Emitter Super-resolution Imaging using the Alternating Descent Conditional Gradient Method
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : This thesis examines the state-of-the-art 2D super-resolution technique alternating descent conditional gradient (ADCG) method's ability to accurately localize fluorophores in diffraction-limited single molecule images (SMI) and analyze the impact of pre-processing and post-processing modules on ADCG's fluorophore localization. A synthetic dataset obtained from the 2013 Grand Challenge localization microscopy and a temporally linked dataset obtained from an unpublished set of Optical DNA mapping experiments performed by Jonathan Jeffet at the NanoBioPhotonix Lab at Tel-Aviv University were initially segmented to extract their noise parameters.
