  1. 1. What comes next? : Investigating the neural correlates of predictability during conversation with fMRI

    Kandidat-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Institutionen för lingvistik

    Författare :Johanna Sundström; [2023]
    Nyckelord :surprisal; neurolinguistics; fMRI; language processing; conversation; language comprehension; language production; surprisal; neurolingvistik; fMRI; språkprocessning; konversation; språkförståelse; språkproduktion;

    Sammanfattning : The notion that prediction plays a role in language processing is getting less controversial, however research and discussion is ongoing as to the nature and extent of its involvement. Previous studies have mainly focused on prediction during comprehension in restricted paradigms. LÄS MER

  2. 2. The Emotional Rollercoaster of Borderline Personality Disorder : Neural Correlates of Cognitive Reappraisal

    Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Skövde/Institutionen för biovetenskap

    Författare :Sofia Jakobsson; Stina Wallin; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Borderline Personality Disorder; Emotion Regulation; Cognitive Reappraisal; fMRI;

    Sammanfattning : Individuals with borderline personality disorder (BPD) experience emotional instability and have a high suicide rate. Treatment for BPD includes psychotherapy and adaptive emotion regulation strategies, which include cognitive reappraisal. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Speech Comprehension : Theoretical approaches and neural correlates

    Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Skövde/Institutionen för biovetenskap

    Författare :Magnus Roos; [2015]
    Nyckelord :Language; speech comprehension; dual-route processing model; trace model; superior temporal gyrus; inferior frontal gyrus; N400; P600;

    Sammanfattning : This review has examined the spatial and temporal neural activation of speech comprehension. Six theories on speech comprehension were selected and reviewed. The most fundamental structures for speech comprehension are the superior temporal gyrus, the fusiform gyrus, the temporal pole, the temporoparietal junction, and the inferior frontal gyrus. LÄS MER
