Sammanfattning: In this essay we discuss the question about Foley in games and movies, and how these aspects separate them or connect them. We have delimited the essay to the subject Foley in games and movies. Our intent by this essay is to raise awareness regarding the working process of a foley artist. Also the important things you need to think about as an artist of foley sound when creating specific sound to a specific medium. Likewise the similarities and differences between the outcome and working process of foley related to films and games. We have implemented observations and three interviews while we collected the empirical material. The observation was observed by ourselves and comprised five different games and movies that are related to each other. This because we believe the there is a connection between these and gives a better view over how the differences and the similarities are between the different medias. We have also done three semistructured interviews with persons who has different connections within the Foley profession. With help of these respondents, the observation and the theoretical information we have collected we have made a result.The result that has emerged in this essay is showing that the foley artists prefer to use the foley pit when creating sound to movies and games. When it comes to foley sound, movies has greater variation of sound than in games. In games the foley sound often occurs as repeating.
